When most people think of womens basketball in Australia they usually think of Seattle Storms Lauren Jackson or former Opals and Phoenix Mercury stand out Michelle Timms. However, Liz Cambage is showing that she is one of the faces of the future for womens basketball in Australia.

Playing for the Australian Institue of Sport in the WNBL, Cambage who stands at 6′6 and is only 17 years of age has already impressed Opals head coach Carrie Graf after only her second international game, Cambage coach Graf said “She has got a bright future and its exciting to watch her play”

It should be interesting to see how this young woman develops into a seasoned player, can shebe as successful worldwide as her fellow aussies? That remains to be seen as it would be greatto see an australian woman lift the game above the rim.
