Well maybe its just me, but it seems that more awards were given out by this time last year. I guess I am anxious to see who is awarded the MVP award this year. It’s no secret who is getting the ROY award so I don’t know why they didn’t just give it to Parker in in the Western Conference Finals…. ohhhh wait…. thats because I believe the league was counting on Parker and the Sparks getting to the Finals and oooooops! The Sparks didn’t make it.
So now do they take Parker to Detroit and hand out the Rookie of the Year Award in front of Detroit players and fans in the city where the brawl took place and the most bias suspensions in league history followed? Do they give it to her in San Antonio and give it to her in the city where she lost the Western Conference Finals?
Or do they just give a little press conference in LA?
I don’t know, whichever way they do it I’m sure there will be some people that complain that it should have been done differently.
Now MVP…. I have always said Whalen deserves it and if not Whalen then Sophia Young and in 3rd would be Hammon and 4th Parker. Honestly I dont think Bird deserves it (and Im a Bird fan!).
Anyway, my Stars lost game 1 of the Finals, but I have no doubts they will bounce back for the win on friday night. Their short bench is really killing them right now with all the injuries. I was scared of how short the bench was at the beginning of the season for this very reason.
Also…. I’m hearing Yo plans on going back to Seattle next season…. are you listening VJ?? lol! We don’t want you to hang up the jersey yet! If Yo is staying you have to come back for the Stars for one more season!
